The services listed below are all available to Rosedale residents and payment for these services is included in the Long-Term Care Home rates.
- Private or basic accommodation
- Resident-centered nursing and personal care 24 hours per day
- Call system in every resident room, bathroom, and common areas
- Medical care and supervision
- Pharmacy services using sealed, multi-dosing packets
- Continence care products
- Therapeutic programs such as physiotherapy
- Restorative care program
- Resident recreational programming, social activities, and special events
- Outdoor gardens, walkways, landscaped grounds.
- Pastoral activities and services
- Access to the “Family Room”
- Nutritional services, 3 meals and 3 snacks daily
- Dietician assessment and therapeutic diets
- Housekeeping services
- Linen and personal laundry
- Maintenance of building and plant equipment
- Resident Advisory Council
- Family Council
- Volunteer resources
- Library services including daily newspapers to each RHA
- Security systems
- Personal funds maintained/entrusted in Rosedale
- Reception, mail delivery service

Optional Services
Residents and their Powers of Attorney will be informed about other optional services that are available at Rosedale and the associated cost to the resident if they choose to receive such services.
Optional services include:
- Cable television connection for residents’ personal use
- Specialized foot care services
- Alternative Therapies
- Continence care products not part of Rosedale’s continence care system
- Dental and denturist services
- Dry-cleaning
- Hairdressing and barber services
- Newspaper subscription (personal)
- Non-prescription drugs, medication, and treatment products
- Rental or purchase of walkers, wheelchairs, and geriatric chairs
- Short-term storage of personal belongings of discharged residents
- Telephone connection for resident’s personal use
- Transportation services (we are more than happy to allow access to the Bus for a donation to the Home)
- Catering Services for private in-house functions
- Cafe and Social Pub purchases
- Wardrobe purchases
- Guest meals with residents
The resident or the resident’s Substitute Decision Maker must authorize in writing purchase of, or arrangement for, any of the above list of optional services.
Rehabilitation Services
Rehabilitation Services are available to our residents through the Therapeutic Program. These include Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. Should services be required, the Registered Staff completes the necessary service requisition and forwards it to the Therapeutic Program. The services are provided at Rosedale Home.
Transportation Services
Transportation is available for the resident to utilize for various outings/appointments i.e. medical appointments, special events with family etc. We have a wheelchair accessible bus, which is driven by volunteer drivers. The use of the bus for resident personal use is a service paid by the resident/family. To schedule the use of this service you should go through the Director of Therapeutic Services.
